Club Professional

Dave Delaney
General Manager & Head PGA Golf Professional

As the Club Professional at The Halifax Bradley Hall Golf Club, I have over 20 years of experience within the golf industry, I am passionate about the game of golf and this shows in my enthusiasm in my day to day working environment as a Club Professional.

I am fairly local to Halifax as I learned how to play the game at Baildon Golf Club, my father introduced me to the game at the age of 9. Very much a golfing family, my Father was a low handicap golfer like my eldest brother who also won the British junior long driving championship. Both my sisters play and have very respectable handicaps.

Player, teacher, club fitter, buyer, administrator, retailer and trainer of future Professionals are just some of my job titles but the greatest satisfaction comes from interacting with the members and guests in a Golf Club environment.

I started playing to a reasonable amateur level with some of my achievements below:
* Youngest player to represent the Bradford union team.
* Bradford boys champion
* England coaching squad
* Various course records
* Captain Yorkshire Boys
* Captain Yorkshire Colts
* Yorkshire Youths Champion
* Yorkshire Strokeplay Champion

I started my Professional career at Woodsome Hall golf club Golf Club in 1992 and qualified as a PGA Professional in 1999.
